Summer-/ winterschool
Each August Fontys organizes summer school courses in Venlo. The Winterschool takes place in January.
Our classes offer you the opportunity to improve your language skills in preparation for your later study course.
The summer/winterschool of Fontys Venlo offers an extensive programme for both new and present students and people who would simply like to increase their educational level with an additional certificate. New Fontys students can earn initial credits before even starting their career as a student, whereas present students can just proceed their careers in the summer. In other words, both groups are offered an opportunity to gain a head-start for the next semesters. There will be many opportunities for learning on the one hand, but also excellent opportunities for mingling with other students and gaining new insights on the other hand.
- Current and new Fontys students:
€ 79 for two weeks-courses
€ 39 for one week-courses
- Students from partner universities & exchange students: fees according to bilateral agreement
- External participants: € 599 for two weeks-courses

Accommodation
The following applies only to students from partner universities:
Rent for accommodation is included in the fee. Fontys arranges furnished rooms in student hotels, with private landlords, group accommodation or in guest families in or close to Venlo.
Location
All courses will take place in classrooms at the Fontys International Campus in Venlo. The visitor’s address is: Tegelseweg 255, 5912 BG Venlo.
Time schedule
The courses take place Monday till Friday, from 09:00am - 2:00pm. Lunch will be provided. There are also machines where you can purchase coffee/tea, soft drinks and sweets/refreshments.
