Language Precourses (English)
Every year more than 1.4 million students worldwide take the IELTS test (International English Language Testing System) in order to proceed on their study careers. The reason is that many university programmes are delivered in English and assignments by students are required to be delivered in the English language.
Universities in The Netherlands require proof and evidence of sufficient skills in the English language. Admittance to Dutch universities is mostly on an average bandscore of IELTS 6.0 and/or 6.5. Before the academic year starts Fontys International Campus is offering two specific preparatory courses to prepare students for this test via the Fontys Language Centre:
• raising bandscore 5,5 to 6,0
• raising bandscore 6,0 to 6,5
Upon finalising students can do the IELTS test at one of the IELTS authorised centres in The Netherlands. If successful, students can then start their study at Fontys in Venlo.

Raising bandscore from 5,5 to 6,0
o February till June (deadline: 1st January for EU-Students / 15th November for Non-EU-Students)
o September till January (deadline: 1st July for EU-Students / 15th June for Non-EU-Students)
Raising bandscore from 6,0 to 6,5
o February till June (deadline: 1st January for EU-Students / 15th November for Non-EU-Students)
o September till January (deadline: 1st July for EU-Students / 15th June for Non-EU-Students)

* all prices are inclusive of all training hours, coaching hours, materials and examination fees but exclusive of visa fees, health insurance, accommodation and other living costs
Please note that these IELTS precourses will only take place in case of a minimum number of students.
